The Employment & Training (E &T) Program at Welfare Reform Liaison Project (WRLP) provides work force development training to individuals in Guilford County. Training focuses on developing work ethics, and skills that are transferable to various work areas. Participants will receive classroom training and participate in an internship.
The WRLP training program has four levels: Please review the information session video for more details on the training program.
Level I –is 6 weeks of intensive classroom of core classes in Personal Development Strategies for Employment, Money Smart, Intro to computers and intro class to various training areas.
Level II—is 12 weeks of classroom and an internship in two training areas. Total training is 20 hours per week. Participants will receive a financial assistance package while participating in the intern.
Level III—is intensive job search. Participants will attend weekly job search supports and meet with the job developer.
Level IV—the participant is employed and may receive limited supportive services during the first 90 days of employment.
