This course is designed to teach student the concepts, terminology and skills in customer service, merchandise processing, handling, and shipping /receiving. These skills will be transferable to a variety of worksites or employers.
Learning Objective:
Upon completion of this program the student will be able to do the following:
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Learn frequently used terminology in a Distribution Center.
- Describe common Distribution Center operations and procedures.
- Properly unpack, sort and process items for distribution.
- Quality control.
- Understand shelf management.
- Understand the process for shipping goods.
- Know how to safely use a pallet jack and carts.
- Know how to ship items in the appropriate containers.
